About this site

The Society of Ink Slingers is an independent publication launched in April 2023 by Lauren McMenemy. It aims to champion, support and connect writers of genre fiction - science fiction, fantasy, horror, and anything else you're unlikely to find in the book section at Tesco - so we can all grow the indie community together.
We exist to celebrate and promote your work and help build your profile. Got an idea for our blog? Get in touch.
But we are more than just another blog...
